Blues Back To Winning Ways |
Bluekipper F.C. ended a four game run without a win by beating Rhyl 3-1 away.
With fixtures piling up, the blues had to travel to North Wales for a Wednesday evening kick off with thoughts of catching Liverpool at the top of the NFSL firmly in their minds and only three points against a strong Rhyl side would do. The away side started strong and took a early lead with a looping 40 yard free kick from Dan Manning. Kipper continued to press forward and should have gone further head on three occasions but for poor finishing, but it was the Welsh side who hit back when a cross from the right was headed home after some slack defending.
Into the second half both sides started to press for a winning goal, with Blues keeper Neil Hignett making two world class saves and Lee lawson making the Rhyl stopper produce another stunning save, but it was Kipper again who took the lead thanks to a smart drive from James Eccleson from just outside the area. The home side decided to throw everything at it, with the Kipper defence having to defend for their lives for the last ten minutes with wave after wave of long balls coming into the box, but it was the Blues who grabbed the important next goal after good work down the left from David Devaney got the ball into the box for Mitch Murphy to smash home and give Bluekipper F.C. all three points. |

Blues Finish Poor Week With A Point |
Bluekipper F.C. had to come from behind to salvage a 1-1 draw with Accrington Stanley Today.
In winter like conditions on a boggy pitch, this was never going to be a classic and that proved to be the case with the ball being jostled about mostly in midfield in a dour first half. With neither team looking like scoring it was a poor backpass that led to Accrington taking the lead late in the half.
Once again the second half started sluggishly and it was only in the last twenty minutes that the game came alive, knowing they needed some kind of result to keep their slim championship dream alive Bluekipper lay siege to the Stanley goal and after some great work down the right by Darren Patterson it was Sub Joey Lomas who headed home the equaliser. The Blues could and really should have got a winner, with Matty McKeown and Mitch Murphy both going close but this again was not to be thie day. |

Blues Slip Up Away |
Bluekipper F.C. fell to their second defeat of the season 4-2 at Runcorn
It had all started so promisingly for the away side when David Devaney poached for his first goal of the season from a Luke Creedon corner in a team that included five changes from the semi final defeat. Not long after the Blues doubled their lead when a Darren Patterson cross was met spectactularly by Lee Lawson with a fantastic header and thre would of been more if not for some fine saves from the Linnetts keeper. But into the second half the tide changed and Runcorn went for broke with wave after wave of attack, which Kipper's inexperianced midfield could not deal with, and soon enough they had their breakthrough and continued to score with a mixture of excellent finishing and extreme luck. Matty Mckeown grabbed a late goal to put the pressure back on but it was to little to late fro Kipper. |

Blues Lose In Controversial Semi Final |
Bluekipper F.C. were sent crashing out of the NFSL Cup with a 1-0 away defeat to Stalybridge Celtic.
The blues dominated large spells on the game but could not get the break through they needed, Stalybridge also scored in fortuitous circumstances when a cross going out of play hit mud in the goal area and stuck for a easty tap in, but it was at the other end of the pitch where the mud would play a much bigger part. After hitting the woodwork three times, Luke Creedon got one on one with the Celtic keeper in the last minute and diverted a shot past him and into the goal, only to see the referee wave play on as he had not seen the ball cross the line after it had been frantic hacked away after crossing the line, it was not to be Kipper's day and they were out.

Late Equaliser Gives Kipper A Draw |
A goal from Adam Brophy in the last minutes of the game was enough to give the Blues a 2-2 draw away at AFC Chester today in a a game were they deserved all 3 points. Kipper fell behind early in the first half against the run of play but were level with Dave Johnson's first goal of the season just before half time. They then again went behind to a controversial goal which had a large suspicion of offside attached to it but it was given, but having four efforts hit the woodwork and a goal disallowed for offside the Blues were well worth their equaliser and were disappointed with only a point. |

Blues Keep Up Pressure At Top |
Bluekipper F.C. moved to within 5 points of league leaders Morecambe today and with 5 games in hand with a 3-1 victory at home to Rhyl
After missing the last four games it was the impressive Luke Creedon who settled the nerves after only ten minutes with a great solo run and finish to open the scoring, not long after he doubled his tally after a long pass from Mike Roberts left him with only the keeper to beat to make it 2-0. and early in the second half Creedon capped a great display by getting his and Kipper's third with a superb close finish to make it 3-1

Blues Struggle To Overcome Stubborn Rovers |
A single goal and a first for Joey Lomas was all that separated Bluekipper F.C. and Blackburn Rovers in a 1-0 win in Blackburn today.
With all three Kipper goalkeepers unavalible it was up to Manager Peter Mcpartland to don the gloves for todays NFSL match and with only ten outfielders available also, it left the Manager little options. but the Blues had plenty of chances but could not score a second goal thanks to a mixture of poor finishing, good goalkeeping and bad luck. The win was good enough to move the blues up tp second in the NFSL Table. |

Bluekipper F.C. Through To Semi Finals |
After a epic 3-2 victory over Accrington Stanley, the Blues progressed into the semi finals of the NFSL Cup after a 80th minute from Peter Mcpartland.
The Blues had been a goal down but levelled through Mitch Murphy, they then lost Goalkeeper Ian Hopkins through injury but went ahead through an excellent Mike Roberts Free kick, only to surrender the lead early in the Second Half. Another blow came just after with Mitch Murphy having to go off, again to a injury, but it was Mcpartland who settled the tie late on and put Kipper through to their first Semi Final. |
